Feeling the summer heat? Need a beach day but the surf is too much for your corgi's height challenged legs? Think dogs are not allowed on Mission Bay during the day? Well, not on Mission Bay proper, but Fiesta Island is all dogs, all off-leash, all the time! Someone dubbed it "Disneyland for dogs," and I'd have to agree. It's the "happiest place on earth" for dogs, especially the 97 acre fenced area in the south west corner. This is where where off-leash dogs reign free of car traffic, and the only surf you'll see is kicked up by the waterski boats.
Join us for a cooling off-leash dip in the bay. Swimming is optional for both corgis and people, but highly recommended. No floats needed!
We'll meet in the waterski area, just past the floating boat dock. This area is a long/safe distance from the roads & protected from the howling wind, but not the howling corgis.
BRING: Water for you and pups (important in the heat), chairs, towels and any other beach necessities. I recommend you don’t bring food. There are poop bag stations and trash cans in the interior. This is an undeveloped area with only port-a-pottys on the roadside.
Get you and your corgi ready to splash & swim with a corgi flotilla. Sure to be a swimmingly cool time.
Corgibunga! (Yeah, I said it… sorry)
